About Us
The Pennsylvania Tourism Signing Trust was created in 1984 by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The Trust is comprised of seven trustees and a representative from PennDOT and the Department of Community and Economic Development.
The purpose of the Trust is to provide the day-to-day administration of the Logo Signing Program and the Tourist Oriented Directional Signing (TODS) Program in accordance with the applicable statutes and PennDOT Guidelines. The Trust is responsible to determine the fees necessary for the administration of the programs, collection of fees paid by the program participants, execute contracts for construction, engineering and maintenance of signs, pay expenses, and provide for long-term financial viability of the programs by establishing a fund for replacement of signs necessitated by casualty or deterioration.
The Trust’s Administrator is responsible for performing all functions related to the implementation the signing programs under the direction of the Trustees.
The Trust meetings are generally held the fourth Thursday bi-monthly.
